Weekly Yesod Yosef Summary
B”H Yesod Yosef distributed Shabbos assistance to 17 poor families. Two families were helped this week under the Crisis Rescue Program.
Prayers by the Tzadikim
Donors were prayed for by the Kivarim of the holy Ramak – Rabbi Moshe Cordovero, Binayahu ben Yehoyada, Rebbe Dosa Ben Hurkanus and Binyamin HaTzadik.
This is aside from the name lists that are given along with each distribution and are likely to be mentioned by our recipients at many other Kivrei Tzadikim.
Weekly Tzedaka Torah
R. Elazar would give a coin to a poor man, and then pray, for it is written, ‘Through tzedek will I behold Your Countenance’” — and tzedek (“righteousness”) is closely related to tzedakah (“charity”). The giving of a single coin thus constitutes a mitzvah worthy of reward.
