B”H Yesod Yosef distributed Shabbos assistance to 14 poor families. One loan was granted by the Yesod Yosef loan Gemach.
Prayers by the Tzadikim
Donors were prayed for by the Kivarim of the holy Arizal, Rebbe Shimon bar Yochai, Binayahu ben Yehoyada, Rebbe Dosa ben Hurkonus and Binyamin HaTzadik.
This is aside from the name lists that are given along with each distribution and are likely to be mentioned by our recipients at many other Kivrei Tzadikim.

Laws of Machtzis Hashekel
It is customary to give before Purim a half of the currency unit used in that location at that time, as a remembrance to the ‘Machtzis Hashekel’ that used to be given during the month of Adar for the use of public sacrifices. It is customary to give three half coin units because in Parshas Ki Tisa it says the word Teruma-Donation three times. This is given at night before the Migila reading and it is distributed to the poor. Minors are not obligated to give. However if his father gave for him once, then he has to continue giving forever. A boy that is 13 years old, some opinions say he is obligated to give and some optionons say he is not obligated until he is 20 years olds.
