Prayers by the Tzadikim
Donors were prayed for by the Kivarim of Rebbe Pinchas ben Yair, Rebbe Shimon Bar Yochai, Rebbe Dossa ben Hurkanus, Binayahu ben Yehoyada, Rebbe Nachum Ish Gam Zu and Binyamin HaTzadik.
This is aside from the name lists that are given along with each distribution and are likely to be mentioned by our recipients at many other Kivrei Tzadikim.
Weekly Tzedaka Torah
“Rabbi Pinchas Ben Yair visited a town whose residents complained that all their crops were being consumed by mice. Rabbi Pinchas Ben Yair commanded all the mice to gather in the center of town. They came and began to squeak, he then relayed the message of the mice that the residents were being punished for not taking Tiruma and Masser off their crops. After committing to change their ways, mice stopped eating their crops.”

We see here that sometimes when a person does not give masser his earnings are consumed.
